Thoughts on Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
In His earthly ministry, the Lord Jesus showed us what it means to be steadfast in all circumstances. The disciples asked Jesus to send the multitude away to fend for themselves but instead, He proved to them that He who promised is faithful in (Matthew 14:13-21). This is just one instance where Jesus Christ demonstrated the faithfulness of God.
When we are strong and immovable in the hope we profess, then we can stand strong amid chaos and these perilous times. We must be firm in what we believe and not be moved by the crowd, emotion or whatever life throws our way. Our hope is in Jesus Christ and He will see us through to the end only if we stand firm in the faith. He is faithful and has promised to always do us good. He is coming again and is faithful to His word. There is never a time He has or will ever fail us and because of this, we can trust Him.
Prayer: Faithful God, I honor You for You never fail. I choose to put my all in Your able hands. You are the redeemer of my life and the One who holds it together. My hope is in You Lord my strength. I will hold on to Your promises which never fail in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
