Thoughts on 1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 1 Peter 5:6
To be humble means to not be full of yourself or think one is more important than others. God wants us to be humble in His sight and that of men. He can never exalt anyone who has already exalted themselves.
We need to be teachable and submissive to God so that we can learn. When we surrender to Him, then we are able to grow from grace to grace.
A teachable person will go far but one who does not listen because of pride or they think they know better will never go far.
Prayer: Lord help me to have humility regardless of what happens to me in this life. I submit myself to You so You can guide me in Your ways in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
