Thoughts on Psalm 34:9
Fear the LORD; you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.Psalm 34:9
The fear of God here is talking about giving Him reverence, highly regarding Him as the Lord of our lives and being loyal to Him.
When we reverence God, He takes care of our lives and we will lack nothing.
He is always faithful to those who are faithful to Him. He exalts those who remain righteous and humble. He is the main thing and our job is to give Him what is due unto Him.
Scripture shows us different people who feared the Lord like Job, Noah, Abraham, Jesus Christ just to name a few. These examples are there for us to show us how it is done and what happens.
Let us try and follow their example in reverencing God and see what happens. I believe we will be amazed at His works.
Prayer:
My Father ,my God, help me to learn how to reverence You in my life. Teach me to follow Your ways and to acknowledge You in all I do in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen
