The heart of an intercessor should have love. Intercessory prayer is going the extra mile for all people; the Spirit of God lays in your heart to pray for.
Anything done without love is noise, and it is in vain, Paul calls it, a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal’
1 Corinthians 13:1.
Standing in the gap requires the sacrifice of your time, and the only way to do this is to love prayers and those we are praying for.
Moses was one intercessor who interceded for the Israelites countless times to the point of repenting on their behalf. He changed God’s heart when God wanted to punish them Exodus 32:11-14.
God’s love for us was expressed through Jesus Christ, which is the best example of selflessness. I pray that we shall bear these fruit of the Spirit and stand in the gap selflessly in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
