Hope For Humanity

Updated: Oct 2, 2020

Thoughts on Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Hope gives strength. It gives a person’s soul the strength to soar like an eagle. An act of kindness to a homeless and hungry person gives them the hope to believe that God still exists. The divine revelation regarding a stubborn situation gives this hope by strengthening us to endure, press on in prayer, doing good and gives us the zeal to run and not grow weary. The Prophetess Anna and Simeon had the hope of seeing the promised Messiah (Luke 2:25-38) and they did not grow weary but continued running their race until they saw the Messiah.

Hope will revive the inner man to continue without fainting. It is what we need in this end times when chaos are breaking out in most places around the world. Hope is what brings a person out of depression to believing in a better life. We must choose to be hopeful despite the circumstances. God is always working out things for our good and that is enough to give us hope in Him of a sure future.

Prayer: Lord God, You are the hope for humanity. You are the strength we need, the one who revives us and gives us the grace to soar like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint. I ask that You intervene in my life and that of those in my family and around me. May I never forget that You are my hope and my all in all. I thank and honor You in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
