Have you ever been in a season where nothing seems to be working to your favour? Or maybe prayed and nothing is changing? Well I have been there several times in my life and I believe many of you reading this can relate to what I am talking about. It is not usually a good time but I want to remind you that God is always there and it does not take Him by surprise when things happen in our lives whether good or bad.

I was going home from work a few years ago and I had just received some news that were not good.I was very discouraged by the events that occurred then, and that made me to start asking God questions like, 'do you really answer prayers?' because if you do, I want to see results.That was my prayer and my way of seeking answers to my circumstances. I arrived home still feeling discouraged but decided to just let things be because I could not change anything.
The next day I went to work and as usual, I prayed for a safe journey to work. I arrived safely to the entrance of my workplace but, as I waited for the cars on the opposite side of the road to pass so I can get to the parking lot, somebody hit my car from the back. It was very loud and I knew things were really bad. So I got out to see the damage, only to realise my car was not that bad compared to the one who hit me. His car was a right off on the spot and he had injured his arm. On my side, I was whole but very shaken by the ordeal.
We sorted out what needed sorting and I had to contact my husband about what had happened then a friend helped me park because of how shaken I was. As I thought about the accident and how I was not harmed, I remembered my prayer of protection while driving to work and it dawned on me that God had just answered that prayer.
God surely answers prayers
Today, I know better, that God surely answers prayers. It may not be according to our own expectations or timing, but in His time. I believe people like Abraham and Sarah prayed to have children, but it took many years for the prayers to be answered. Daniel, Hannah and many others prayed and God answered their prayers. His timing is the best and it is very different from our own time. God is not limited by anything including time and space.

If you have you been praying or seeking answers and you feel as if you are not being heard, I want to let you know that God is with you even in that situation. The book of Isaiah 59:1 says it this way, Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.' He is faithful to His word and will not fail you. Do not be troubled anymore,it will not do you any good or solve anything.
The minute you open your mouth to pray, He has already heard, in fact He already knows what you will pray before you even do it. Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. Daniel 10:12

I encourage you to seek the Lord with your all. Whatever it is you need, ask Him because He answers prayers. Ask with expectation of answers and not with doubt. Sincerity from the heart and faith in God is important. Seek Him today.
