Thoughts on 1Peter 4:10
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of grace in its various forms.”1 Peter 4:10
Jesus is the best example of this kind of life.He lived physically here on earth in humility,even though He is the King of kings.He washed the disciples feet,ate what they ate,showed kindness to the least acceptable people in the society.
Our gifts are to be used to do the same things He did.They are to bless others by helping them in whatever capacity we have been enabled.They are not to make us feel better than others, but they should be used with all humility like Christ showed us.When we do this,glory returns to Him and even if we get no thanks or recognition by the recipients, we know our reward is with God.
Just as Christ showed us how to serve others instead of being served, so should we live to serve others.What gift has God given you that can be of help to someone in need?Use it today so that the light and love of God in you can impact another person’s life.
