Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Wisdom- the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise
Understanding- the ability to understand something; comprehension. It is perception, awareness, know-how.
There are things a person needs to acquire, regardless of who they are. The lack of wisdom and understanding is destroying lives. Foolishness, delay, stagnation, unanswered prayers and the list goes on.
When a person has no understanding, they miss living according to the will of God because they do not have the know-how, perception or awareness of the will of God. Acting on wisdom alone is walking in blindness and is bound to fail.
Isaiah 11:2,
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord
The Seven-fold anointing of the Spirit of God shows that his manifestation works according to two by two. As you pray today, add understanding on your prayer list, it will come handy and will help you a great deal.
