FELLOWSHIP AND SALVATION

Updated: Feb 8, 2019

When God created man, He beheld the work of His hands and was pleased by what He saw. Perfection is the word! With special skill and care the Author of life having finished creating all things, looked at this being He had made and it was just a form so He being the breath of life breathed His own breath and man came to be. We are His very image having His breath in us.

Due to His great love towards man He placed him in a garden known as Eden where man was given dominion over every creature that was created. God fellow-shipped with man in this garden. Then one day Satan, the deceiver, who comes to steal, kill and destroy happened to visit the garden and deceived man to sin against God, the Creator. Due to their sin, God could not allow them to continue dwelling in the Garden of Eden. ‘He is holy and no one can see God unless the person is holy (sinless),’Hebrews 12:14. So God drove man out of the garden due to sin. Sin brought death into the world.

God's will has always been for man to relate closely with Him. He wants to be a Father to us and us His children. His mission since that time has always been to bring man back to that place where it all began, where grace prevailed over the law so He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. “How so?" one may ask. When Jesus died on the cross and rose up on the third day, He accepted to take up our sins so that we can become the righteousness of God. Our sins were washed away by the shed blood of Jesus.

This shed blood washed not only the sins of man but the pain, shame, sorrow, fear, torment, sickness and all manner of evil things that were not of God.

He came to set the captives free. In Jesus we are free from the power of hell. Now the important thing about all that Christ did is that you have to acknowledge that you are a sinner, repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Savior. You have to believe it in your heart, (this is faith), ask Jesus' forgiveness and proclaim that He is Lord and Savior of your life. It is that simple.

Then look for a church that is Holy Spirit filled where the bible is taught without compromise and present yourself to the leadership there. This way you can grow and know more about fellowship with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and what your assignment is in the kingdom of God.
