The Lord asked the once asked the disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” (Matthew 16:13)
Some said "John the Baptist, Elijah, and others Jeremiah", (Matthew 16:14). Then He asked them, “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”(Matthew 16:15) then, "Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16).
The disciples had different answers because they lacked the divine revelation of Jesus Christ. There are some things that only the Spirit of God can reveal as we read in (Matthew 16:17), Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
When a believer has an understanding (Proverbs 4:7) of Christ by developing a personal relationship with Him (Luke 9:23-26), shame becomes a non-issue. Do you personally know Christ Jesus?
My prayer for you:
In these present age, may the Holy Spirit help you to cultivate a personal relationship with Christ Jesus so that you can be of spiritual relevance to others when you speak of Him.
May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18) as the Lord reveals His will to you.
May you know Him (Christ Jesus) and the power ( Holy Spirit) of His resurrection (Philippians 3:10).
