Be Alert In The Spirit.

Being alert in the Spirit means being on guard and attentive. There are no holidays for a warrior because the enemy can strike at any time. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). When we tune with heaven's frequency, it will determine what we see or hear in the spirit realm.

Seeing

Jesus gave them this answer: "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing because whatever the Father does, the Son also does. (John 5:19). It is incredible how Jesus Christ knew what to do at the appointed time. He had a prophetic advantage, whereby He had spiritual sight into what God was doing, and He did exactly that. We need to connect to God, the source of all wisdom and knowledge, to overcome the devil's traps. Our prayer should be that God will open our spiritual eyes that we may see accurately. When we have spiritual sight, we receive revelation into the hidden things and effectively wage war against the devil.

Hearing

So be careful how you listen; for whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a longing for truth], even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him." (Luke 8:18). When talking with someone, the norm is to speak and listen and vice versa. There is always feedback whenever a sound is emitted. Every time we pray, we have to give room to listen to the voice of God so that we can learn from Him. Humility is a key to hearing right and learning more because a person that is not teachable can achieve nothing. Answers to our prayers come by waiting on the Lord.
