Perseverance is key when waiting upon the promises of God. For, "In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay." Hebrews 10:36. The fulfilment of God's promises is dependent on His will and timing. Abraham and Sarah are good examples of this. Their life experience required faith and perseverance. The prophetess Anna is another example, as well as Simeon, who both waited to see the Messiah's birth.
Faith is said to be a currency in the trading floors of heaven, and it pleases God when we have faith in Him Hebrews 11:6. In the book of Hebrews 11, we read about men and women who lived by faith and are now waiting for us to finish our race so they can be perfected Hebrews 12:1.
Brethren, let us not give up, for, in the due season, He will do as He has promised because He never fails. Our prayers are never in vain because there is an appointed time for God to come through.
